Remember good old Harry? Well he's back. Sort of. The man who allowed the Republicans to pass the appointment of judges on a simple majority. Guess what he wants now. He wants to totally abolish the filibuster. You know what? I agree. Let's let Harry tell you.
"The future of our country is sacrificed at the altar of the filibuster," Reid writes in a New York Times op-ed focused on a rule that allows the minority party to block legislation by requiring 60 votes for the Senate to end debate on a bill.
"Something must change. That is why I am now calling on the Senate to abolish the filibuster in all its forms. And I am calling on candidates seeking the Democratic nomination for president to do the same."
Now there are some who think that come 2020 the Democrats will retake the Senate. And if they did, odds are that change would be made. Now if the Republicans were smart, they would do that change now. What say you?
