We all heard the old wives tale about the Republicans are the party of and for the rich. Only Republicans were millionaires. You've heard this one before. They own more than one house. Oh wait that's Bernie Sanders. They're Corporate Lawyers. Elizabeth Warren. Only live in rich neighborhoods. Kamala Harris ( not one but three).
Here's the bottom line. Someone tells you that the Democrat presidential candidates are for the poor or middle class? Ask to see their tax returns. The numbers may surprise you. This from Varney at FOX Business.
"Sell your houses Bernie, and give your profit to the poor. Write a check to the treasury, Joe, because you used a tax loophole to get rich. Pay the wealth tax, Senator Warren, it's your proposal. And Senator Harris - you own houses in Washington DC, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Do you need three?
"They will do none of the above," the host said as he wrapped up his comments. "Rich socialists rarely do - it's your money that they really want."
