President Trump put Trudeau over the top? Trudeau's Liberals win but lose majority
President Trump put Trudeau over the top? Yes our President did say he supported Trudeau. Odds are he was thanking him for the trade pact they started with Mexico. But our President did not support the Liberals and it showed. The Conservatives regained control of Ontario, gained 26 seats in the House, and forced Trudeau to have a minority government.
Also the Conservatives wiped out the Liberals in Alberta and Saskatchewan. In Quebec, the French went from 10 seats to 32. No one knows for sure of how much help the Trump endorsement helped, but with the Trudeau win, it sure didn't hurt.
