Will the last one please turn out the lights? Wealthy Residents Fleeing California after Income-Tax Hike
Can the last person please turn off the lights on your way out? We are hearing that more and more in the high taxing blue states. California in particular. It's been happening for years in California but it wasn't really noticed because of the estimated 7-10 million illegals who live there. But in November of 2012 Proposition 30 was passed. It was to end in 2018 but was extended to 2030.
I remember a white plantationst channel claiming that only poor Republicans were moving. But guess what? That was a bold face lie. This from the National Bureau of Economic Research's Joshua Rauh and Ryan J. Shyu.
So we see that those with the money and who pay the lion's share of the taxes, are leaving.
